Howdy, I'm Aeryn
Born and raised in Metro Detroit, I moved to Northern Michigan in 2019 where I discovered my deep appreciation for the outdoors, long walks, and capturing moments through photography. I float between Northern Michigan and Metro Detroit, enjoying the opportunity to photograph all across Michigan.
My love for travel and photography has taken me to diverse and beautiful places including Alaska, California, Wisconsin, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and beyond, each journey enriching my passion and perspective.

I tried nursing, psychology, and eventually business. As a teenager, I loved snapping and editing iPhone photos for VSCO, but never saw photography as a real career. I convinced myself I needed to choose something more "practical," but I've come to realize practicality means something different to everyone. In 2019, I finally took the leap and bought my first DSLR. While balancing my business studies, I dove headfirst into photography, teaching myself everything I could about the craft.
My Photography Journey
I always had this feeling that a creative path was my calling, but I resisted it for years.
A few years ago, I fell in love with shooting weddings. I recall feeling absolutely over the moon after shooting my first wedding. The second I got in my car I was calling my friends telling them “I hope I feel like this forever”. It's been the greatest honor to document these special moments. Whether it's a senior portrait, a surprise proposal, or your wedding day, I'm here to document your story with honesty and a laid-back approach.
By 2021, I followed my heart, leaving school to focus on growing my business and expanding my portfolio—a decision that has truly changed my life.

I am here to document people’s love stories with an untraditional, candid and
honest approach.
Will you get the classic posed family photos for Mom’s gallery wall? Absolutely. Though my main concern is to be "a fly on the wall" and allow things to unfold naturally with limited direction.
This means lots and lotsss of candids, because those are the photos you will feel. Stepping back and observing allows me to capture authentic moments brimming with love and raw emotions.
My main goal is to capture you in your most natural state.
